March 8th is approaching and I find it rather interesting that now in the 21st century the March 3rd episode depicted the brutal power on women; first of all, all the women were "serving"( as usual) food to the "enlightened" men in Shonar tori, and second the brutal oppression of the menfolks were exposed in two ways: one depicted by the second patriarch with his sarcasm of "borkha" (which is both communal as well as patriarchical) and a more brutal one by Chandrasekhar, where he talks of Pupe's "motibrom"; well since the dawn of psychiatry by Freud, femininity was equated with pathology and madness, so either beat up women to discipline them or a more sophisticated use of power is to call them "mad" "hysteric" , solves all problem and then they can be confined to the clinic, in the attic, and in prison....thanks to the players again for a great performance
