There is a Chekovian character to the script, despite some melodramatic moments. When Dip just left and the set went silent and Pupe went upstairs; also after a long pause and angst Pupe decided to come out and resist oppression.... (the solidarity of cousins also was nice to watch). Pupe's stance reminds me of an old saying, "Dukho ke grinay, grina ke krodhe, ar krodh ke potirodhe porjoboshito karo..." this is the oppressed resistance to power. Also, I find a bit of psychoanalytic twist when Pupe becomes a surrogate Gora, now Pupe is Gora for the audience of Shohor TV; substituting the lost love with the Self... very post modern and Lacanian twist... again thanks to the scrip-writers....
